Where Should You Eat in Bethnal Green?

If you’re visiting Bethnal Green for the first time, E. Pellicci is a great starting point because it’s such an important part of the area’s history.

For a special occasion, choose Da Terra or Waterhouse. For a relaxed Sunday, The Marksman or Laxeiro are excellent choices.

And if your perfect evening involves good food and wine, Sager + Wilde is an easy choice.

Final Thoughts

Bethnal Green proves that you don’t have to head into central London for an excellent meal. The neighbourhood has everything from historic cafés and traditional pubs to ambitious tasting menus and exciting international restaurants.

For a first visit, I’d put E. Pellicci, The Marksman, Da Terra, Laxeiro and Tiella Trattoria near the top of the list. But part of Bethnal Green’s appeal is discovering the smaller restaurants and cafés tucked between the main streets.
